Not surprisingly, the Broadcast India show has been considered the single largest premier event for the infotainment industry in India from its very first year (1991). Having grown tremendously over the years, this year to accommodate the increasing number of exhibitors and visitors, the 18th Broadcast India 2008 is shifting to a new venue.  The Bombay Exhibition Centre at Goregaon East is a good 100,000+ sq. ft. of space under a single roof and is situated very close to the International Airport and the Bombay Film & Television Industry.  A number of good hotels are also within easy reach from the venue.

In 2007, the show attracted 22,262 trade visitors and had over 450 exhibitors from 31 countries.  The focus was on IPTV and Mobile TV and some of the biggest names in the business chose to showcase their products and services here.  The latest innovations in Television, Radio, Video, Audio, Film, IPTV, Mobile TV, Computer Graphics, Visual Effects, Multimedia, Music, Lights, Cable, Satellite, Broadband, Internet and Transmission were all on display and the mega platform struck the right balance between information exchange and serious commerce.
